Read the two kinds of limits first

This order mixes minimums (Professional, Warm) with caps (Cute at most 20, Romantic at most 20). A minimum row passes when your bar reaches or passes its marker. A capped row — shown with “(Max)” — passes when your bar stays at or below its marker. Players report getting stuck because they read “20” as a goal to fill; the help thread's own asker confirmed afterwards that the dress passed without reaching 20.

Annotated mechanics example: a minimum row passes above the yellow marker, while an “at most” row passes at or below it. The pictured bars belong to a different order — only the marker rule applies here. View full screenshot.

In the requirements card, the capped rows are the ones to watch after every change. If either one turns red, your last pattern or fabric choice pushed the dress over the cap.

Documented routes that worked

The walkthrough route for this order: elevated sweetheart bodice, pointed collar, long cuffed sleeves, coat dress skirt, with Argyle, Tweed or Pinstripes fabrics. Two players independently posted different successes in the help thread — one with Coat Dress Bodice, Double Ruffle and Bow Collar, Hecate Sleeve and Coat Dress Skirt in Chocolate Brown Corduroy; another with an apron bodice, no collar, long sleeves and a yoke gathered skirt in Brown Tweed and Brown Argyle. Treat all three as starting points and use whichever pieces your save already offers.

Finished dress on the mannequin with Quality 98/70, Professional 56/50 and Warm 70/50 green, and Cute (Max) 20/20 and Romantic (Max) 20/20 also green
A documented finished dress at the sewing-complete stage: Professional 56/50 and Warm 70/50 pass their minimums, and both “(Max)” rows sit green at 20/20. Green rows mean the numbers pass; the customer still decides at delivery. View full screenshot.

Note how the capped rows in that panel read 20/20 and still show green — sitting exactly on the cap passes. What fails is going over it.

Where drafts usually cross the cap

Cute and Romantic creep in through frilly sleeves, bows and sweetheart necklines, and through fabrics tagged Cute or Romantic. If a capped row goes over after you pick a fabric, swap that fabric for a plain warm one — corduroy, tweed and argyle are the documented safe direction — before you unpick any pattern piece. Only change the shape when fabric swaps cannot bring the row back under its marker.

Missing a named pattern piece such as Hecate sleeves does not block this order: the documented successes above use different shapes. Work with what your sketchbook offers and keep checking the two capped rows after each change.

Check before you deliver

  1. Professional and Warm at or above their markers.
  2. Cute (Max) and Romantic (Max) at or below theirs — 0 is acceptable, exactly 20 is acceptable.
  3. Quality at its target; if it lags, review the measuring-to-sewing chain rather than the style rows.
  4. Then finish, photograph and choose Complete Commission. The delivery guide separates that button from Sell dress and Gift Dress.
