Cheap main fabric, a small Elegant addition

The useful starting combination is elevated sweetheart bodice, pussybow collar, short puffed sleeves and princess skirt. Keep the bulk in Blush Cotton Dots, the walkthrough's inexpensive cotton choice. Reserve Lace on Red Silk for a small piece where its Elegant contribution is needed, rather than buying enough expensive fabric for the whole skirt.

Begin with the cotton plan, read the style rows, then decide whether the silk addition is necessary. A collar or other small accent is a cost-conscious place to try it, but confirm the actual score change: there is no fixed amount of silk that guarantees the target for every pattern and save.

Read the shown card's styles

The pictured Undercover Servant card shows Quality 75, Elegant 50, Daywear 50 and Simple 25 targets. This draft reaches 98, 85, 70 and 45 respectively. Workwear is not a visible requirement row in this picture. View full screenshot.

The walkthrough's text calls the style mix Workwear and Elegant, while its screenshot shows Elegant, Daywear and Simple. Use the inexpensive-main-fabric approach, but match the final style checks to the card in your game. Do not add Workwear as another mandatory row solely because of that wording.

Budget and style failures

If Elegant remains short, add or replace one small contributing piece with Lace on Red Silk, then recheck Daywear and Simple. Making the whole dress from a costly Elegant fabric can solve one row while undermining the reason for this budget plan.

If the purchases are becoming too expensive, first use suitable cotton already in inventory and reduce the expensive fabric allocation. Check the draft's required metres before buying. A guide's example is not a guaranteed bill: your selected pieces, available stock and card determine what you can afford.

If all three style rows pass but Quality is short, stop buying style fabric. Review measurements, mannequin accuracy, grain and seams; the screenshot's green style bars do not bypass the Quality 75 target.

Before delivery

  1. Read the actual style names on your card; the shown example has Elegant 50, Daywear 50 and Simple 25.
  2. Quality at least 75 on that card, independently of the style rows.
  3. Purchases remain inside your card's budget after the silk addition.
  4. Finish, photograph and choose Complete Commission.
